Who we are

ApprovalFeed is a UK business providing planning applications and decisions alert emails for tradespeople and planning consultants. Contact: hello@approvalfeed.com.

Until Companies House registration is complete, business identity details appear as placeholders on our Business details page.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to run your subscription:

• Email address
• Selected trades and London boroughs
• Chosen plan (Starter or Pro)
• Whether you accepted the Terms and Privacy notice, confirmed you are 18+ / using the service for business, and (optional) marketing email preference
• Payment and subscription status via Stripe (we do not store full card numbers)

Hosting and security logs may be processed by Cloudflare. We do not load analytics SDKs, advertising pixels, or marketing cookies on this site.

Why we use it

To create your subscription, send planning alert emails matching your preferences, bill via Stripe, support your account, and (only if you opt in) send occasional product updates. Lawful bases under UK GDPR:

• Contract / steps prior to contract — Art. 6(1)(b) — for signup, alerts that are the service, billing and support
• Legitimate interests — Art. 6(1)(f) — securing the site and preventing abuse
• Consent — Art. 6(1)(a) and PECR — for optional marketing emails only

Planning data in alerts

Alert content is drawn from publicly available planning application and decision information. For London we use the Planning London Datahub (Greater London Authority / London Planning Authorities). On the London Datastore the applications dataset currently lists licence as “Not Specified”; we do not claim Open Government Licence rights. We attribute the Datahub as the source.

We do not include applicant or agent names, phone numbers, or email addresses in ApprovalFeed alerts. We show property address, proposal description, decision status, dates, and a council register link when available.

Sharing

We do not sell your details. Payment is processed by Stripe. Email delivery will use a transactional email provider once alerts are live. Hosting is on Cloudflare Pages. Processors act on our instructions and under appropriate contracts.

Retention

Account and subscription records are kept while you subscribe and for a reasonable period afterward for tax, disputes and legal obligations. Lead emails captured before checkout is enabled are kept until you ask us to delete them, and reviewed within 24 months.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR / DPA 2018 you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability (where applicable), or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email hello@approvalfeed.com or use our data request page. We aim to respond within one month. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

See our Cookie policy. This site does not use non-essential cookies. Any notice banner is informational only.

Emails and unsubscribe

Service alert emails are part of the product you subscribe to. Every email we send will include a one-click unsubscribe link (and a mailto fallback). Marketing emails are optional and only sent if you tick the marketing box. See Unsubscribe.

Children and age

This service is for businesses and adults aged 18 or over. It is not directed at children. By signing up you confirm you are 18+ and using ApprovalFeed for business purposes.

Changes

We may update this notice. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
